As much as I love running and the peace of the morning that comes with it, I have found the first 3 weeks of my Marathon training pretty damn tough.
As if getting up at 6am after a night of broken sleep from my two young daughters wasn't enough, I am now battling with my just-turned-41 year old body.
I have hurt my right heel, my left ball of my foot is giving me random sharp shooting pains and my shoulders and lower back are giving me grief.
The pavement is showing me no mercy and in short, I am falling to bloody pieces!
The good news is that I've found a great Osteopath (Ashleigh Mitchell at Body Worx) and she is putting me back together bit by bit.
It's harder than I thought training for the Marathon but I guess that is why millions of people train for them every year, for that challenge and to really push themselves.
For my motivation, I try to think of the charity I am raising money for, Animals Asia and the abused Moon Bears- but I will talk about that more in a future blog post.
I'll keep you updated on my progress and any tips would be more that welcome!
