Is it Friday already!? The week seems to get busier as it progresses and unless I’m mistaken everybody’s hair is getting longer. It’s a winter thing!
I’m enjoying cutting brunette hair with longer layers on the top and sides but not too long at the back - maybe tapered even. Think dark Italian layered hair. The lead singer from the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs - a New York band - has a great hairstyle.
A longer style does not require long at the back layers. Simply growing the fringe and top layers dramatically changes the shape. Throw in a choc-brown semi colour and you’re in business.
Of course not everyone wants long. Sam my waiter client wants a classy James Bond at the sides and back with a kinda James Dean meets Morrissey on top.
Anyway back to work. My next client is a dancer and she loves the chic layered bob. Mimi puts a beautiful blonde through itand I shatter the layers at the front to give a Charlize Theron aeon flux look.
